After her embarrassing resignation from her role as DNC chair, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz hid from the spotlight for months. However, she is back, and, once again, linked to a corruption scandal.
Politico reported on February 6 that Imran Awan, who is currently employed by Wasserman Schultz, is under criminal investigation for “wide-range equipment and data theft.” Wasserman Schultz’s communications director provided Politico with few details into the investigation and refused to answer any followup questions.

In the hunt to find the precious relics, researchers have
discovered a new cave near the northwestern shore of the Dead
Sea.
Although the cave does not hold any scrolls, it contains many
hints that it once did, including broken jars and iron pickaxe
heads, which suggest looters may have stolen the manuscripts.

A Mini Ice Age is upon us according to a Math professor’s Solar
Cycle model that is up to 97% accurate.
A new model of the Sun’s solar cycle is producing
unprecedentedly accurate predictions of irregularities within
the Sun’s 11-year heartbeat. The model draws on dynamo effects
in two layers of the Sun, one close to the surface and one deep
within its convection zone. Predictions from the model suggest
that solar activity will fall by 60 percent during the 2030s to
conditions last seen during the ‘mini ice age’ that began in

There are some things that mankind can do little about. It’s not
climate change but our Sun’s activity which plays a crucial role
in everything around us.
A mathematical model has shown that the sun could ‘calm down’ in
the coming years creating major events on Earth.
It’s not a secret that life on Earth has been ver dependant on
how the Sun functions, which is why it is extremely important to
study our star.
Professor Valentina Zharkova from the University of Northumbria
claims that her findings come from a computer model of sunspots
that has made “unprecedentedly accurate predictions.”
The model—which has proven to have a 97% accuracy when mapping
the past movements of sunspots, using data of solar cycles from
1976 to 2008—has some alarming predictions for Earth’s future: A
mini Ice Age that could strike our planet as soon as 2030.
In order to come to these conclusions, scientists mapped the
movement of solar fluid in roughly 11-year cycles, which
correspond to weather cycles on Earth.
Cycle 25—around the year 2022— a pair of waves will migrate from
the Northern and Southern hemispheres of the sun, getting out of
sync and reducing solar actively.
“In cycle 26, the two waves exactly mirror each other – peaking
at the same time but in opposite hemispheres of the Sun. Their
interaction will be disruptive, or they will nearly cancel each
other. We predict that this will lead to the properties of a
‘Maunder minimum’,” said Zharkova.
The so-called Maunder minimum was a period that lasted from
around 1645 to 1715, when to sun barely produced any sunspots
resulting in a mini ice age on Earth. During that 70-year
period, parts of Northern Europe and the United States were
conquered by uncharacteristically cold winters.
Interestingly, the river Thames, flowing through London, froze
for a seven-week period and was passable by foot.

At least 121 killings within a four-year span were carried out by convicted immigrants who were not deported, according to a 2015 U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee document recently reviewed by el Nuevo Herald.
Every year, federal immigration authorities release foreign nationals convicted of crimes — including murder — both because the U.S. Supreme Court has prohibited indefinite detention or because their countries refuse to take them back even after immigration judges have ordered deportation.
While the release of convicted immigrant criminals has been routine since the Supreme Court issued its landmark ruling 15 years ago, the practice is now in the national spotlight because President Donald Trump has made it imperative to deport immigrant convicts as quickly as possible lest they commit more crimes..

On Wednesday the United
Nations appealed for $2.1 billion to provide food and other
life-saving assistance to 12 million people in Yemen. After
two years of war, millions in the nation face the threat of
famine.
Jamie McGoldrick, U.N. humanitarian coordinator in Yemen,
said in the appeal document, "The situation in Yemen is
catastrophic and rapidly deteriorating. Nearly 3.3 million
people - including 2.1 million children - are acutely
malnourished."
Yemen has been divided by nearly two years of civil war. It
has unleashed a humanitarian crisis in the desperately poor
Arabian Peninsula country. The war pits the Iran-allied
Houthi group against a Sunni Arab coalition led by Saudi
Arabia. At least 10,000 people have been killed in the
fighting.

The Founders designed the two houses of Congress to have different perspectives and temperaments. The House, representing smaller constituencies and constantly up for re-election, would reflect the hot passions of popular will. This is a vital component of representative government, but more is required in making good decisions. The Founders knew, as Benjamin Franklin put it, that “Passion governs, and she never governs wisely.” The Senate, with longer terms and generally larger constituencies, was designed to temper passions with reason, which requires deliberation. A lot of deliberation.

- A new ‘Out of Africa’ theory explains why Earth’s magnetic
poles may soon SWITCH
The strength of Earth’s magnetic field has been decreasing
for the last 160 years. It’s happening in a patch centered
in a huge expanse extending from Zimbabwe to Chile, known as
the South Atlantic Anomaly.
There’s a patch of reversed polarity beneath southern Africa
at the core-mantle boundary where the liquid iron outer core
meets the slightly stiffer part of the Earth’s interior. In
this area, the polarity of the field is opposite to the
average global magnetic field.

Earth has a protective layer that shields all life from
hazardous solar radiation—the magnetic field.
The magnetic field is basically that which makes compasses
point north and helps our atmosphere against charged
particles originating from space.
If Earth did not have a magnetic field, our atmosphere would
slowly be stripped away by radiation, and life would
eventually cease to exist on our planet.
Something similar occurred on Mars.
According to scientists, the slow destruction of our
neighbor’s planet atmosphere was caused by “huge rope-like
tendrils of magnetic rotations”. The red planet’s once
hospitable atmosphere was blown away in the distant past
because Mars’ magnetic field shut down. NASA scientists say
that even though the red planet had a magnetic field, around
4.2 billion years ago it vanished.
This means that when Mars was much younger, it was much
warmer and wetter, meaning that it was a very good candidate
for life to develop. Scientists believe that Mars’ oceans
evaporated due to the planet’s thinning atmosphere which
caused it to leak into space.
If Earth’s magnetic field was lost, the same thing could
happen on Earth. However, in time Earth’s magnetic field
changes and every once in a while—during a period of several
hundred years or so— the magnetic field switches. North
points to the south and vice versa. During the time the
field flips, it tends to become weak.
Scientists note that the strength of Earth’s magnetic field
has been decreasing in the last 160 years at an ALARMING
rate. This collapse is centered in a huge expanse of the
Southern Hemisphere, extending from Zimbabwe to Chile, known
as the South Atlantic Anomaly.
