Directions:
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking
powder, and salt.
Cut in the shortening with a pastry cutter or fork until
the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in the milk until the dough comes together.
Knead the dough gently on a floured surface for a few
seconds.
Roll out the dough to 1/2 inch thickness and cut out
biscuits using a round cutter or glass.
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15
minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve warm with butter or honey if desired.
